We are looking for a motivated construction labourer to work in the Hawkes Bay region. Because our client works across the entire Hawkes Bay area, they have work available in multiple locations, so no matter what part of the Bay you're based in, we encourage your application.
About the Role
Our client undertakes a range of civil and residential construction so your day-to-day work will vary. You may be helping prep sites for concreting one day and doing heavy lifting and moving materials the next. This is a great role to get you started in construction and help you gain a range of useful skills. The tasks set to you will depend on any previous experience and skills you have and may include (but aren't limited to) the following:
- Heavy lifting and moving materials
- General site clean-ups
- Digging and soft landscaping
- Demolition and concrete breaking
- Foundation and framing work
About You
You're a self-motivated person with a can-do attitude who's a real team player. You can effectively and positively communicate with co-workers and management. You are not afraid of hard, physical work.
Any relevant tickets and licenses you hold are hugely beneficial such as WTR endorsement, Class 2 or 4 licence, Site Safe etc. Civil and construction industry experience is also beneficial but not necessary.
- Sound understanding of site safety and hazard management
- Good level of physical fitness
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Will pass a drug test
What's On Offer
- Negotiable pay rate depending on your experience, anywhere from $23-$28 per hour
- 8% holiday pay, paid on top of your hourly rate
